Our journey began with Henry’s profound childhood love for nature and the outdoors. As he roamed and worked in the garden with his mother, he cultivated a deep appreciation for and connection with the environment.
As he grew up, Henry continued to enjoy life in the great outdoors, from the countryside of England to the rivers of New England to the plains of the Midwest. However, he couldn’t ignore the effects of plastic waste and pollution popping up in these natural spaces — with no sign of slowing down.
He shared his worries with people around him. Many of them felt just like Henry did, but weren’t sure what they could do or where they should start.
Fueled by his concerns and the desire to bridge the gap between caring individuals and sustainable solutions, Henry started a shop for eco-friendly products in his basement.
At first, he had nothing but a handful of brand partners and a pocketful of savings.
Over time, his vision took hold, as more and more people joined him on the journey to a more sustainable way of life.
Lochtree has come a long way since those early days — and we’re just getting started!
